Willie Williams Dies of Heart Attack

Daily Reflector, Mon., Nov 24, 1947

Willie WILLIAMS, 65, died of a heart attack at his home in the Cox’s Mill community 
Sunday at 4:30 a.m. He was born and reared in Pitt County, the son of the late 
Billy and Sal Laza WILLIAMS. Mr. Williams was first married to Nolia STOCKS and 
in 1906 married Allie Elizabeth CANNON. He was a farmer. Surviving are his wife, 
Allie Elizabeth CANNON WILLIAMS, six daughters, Mrs. Bonnie MILLS, Mrs. Ellis 
ADAMS, Mrs. Roy BEACHUM of near the home, Mrs. W. O. WHITE, Jr., of near 
Greenville and Evelyn Louise and Mary Rose of the home; two sisters, Mrs. Tom 
MOORE and Mrs. Maggie SUTTON; one half sister, Mrs. Lonnie WHITE of near Cox’s 
Mill; one brother, Ernest WILLIAMS, of near Cox’s Mill; three half brothers, 
Marshal Williams, Coon Williams and Thad Williams, all of Greenville; and 14 
grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the home Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. 
Burial will be in the family cemetery near the home. Red Men will have charge 
of the services.
