Funeral for Richard S. Fulford

Farmville Enterprise, Fri., Sep 24, 1937

Richard S. FULFORD, 72, of Farmville, Route One, died late Sunday afternoon at his 
home after two years of declining health. Funeral services were conducted at the 
home Monday afternoon at 3 o’clock by the Rev. D. A. CLARKE, Methodist minister of 
Farmville. Burial followed in Fulford family Cemetery near Fountain. Mr. FULFORD 
had been living in the community in which he died for the past 18 years and was a 
well known farmer. He was a member of the Farmville Methodist Church. Besides his 
wife, surviving are two sons, Jesse and Jasper FULFORD, both of Farmville; two 
daughters, Mrs. Jesse BAKER of Elm City and Mrs. Ethel WHITE of Kinston; two 
half-brothers, L. A. FULFORD and J. Q. FULFORD of Farmville and Wilson, 
respectively, and two sisters, Mrs. Annie JOYNER and Pattie NORWOOD, both of 
Farmville.
