J. E. Whitehurst Dies in Florida

J. E. (Ed) WHITEHURST, 77, died at his home at Leesburg, Fla., Tuesday morning at 
5 o'clock. Funeral services and burial will be held in Greenville at a time to be 
announced. Mr. WHITEHURST was born near Leens. He was a farmer and had lived in 
the Greenville and Bethel communities until he went to Florida about three years 
ago. He was a member of the Methodist church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Cary 
MOORE WHITEHURST; a son, L. A. WHIITEHURST of Greenville; two daughters, Mrs. 
J. E. DAVIS of Fredericksburg, Va., and Mrs. Mary A. CRANDALL of Washington; one 
grandson; three brothers, L. F. and D. C. WHITEHURST of Hobgood, and G. V. 
WHITEHURST of Robersonville.
