Rites For Mrs. Jasper Jones

Mrs. Fannie Mae JONES, 43, wife of Jasper JONES, died at her home near Greenville at 
8:15 o’clock Saturday night after being ill for three months. Funeral services were 
conducted at Piney Grove Free Will Baptist Church near Greenville at four o’clock 
Monday afternoon by the Rev. R. N. HINNANT, pastor, and burial was in Greenwood 
Cemetery. Mrs. JONES was born in Pitt County and spent her entire life here. She 
was the daughter of Alonza and Lucy PARKER ELKS. She was a member of Piney Grove 
Free Will Baptist Church near Greenville. Surviving are her husband; a daughter,
Mrs. Clifton SESSOMS of near Greenville; a son Raymond E. JONES of the home; four 
grandchildren; her father, Alonza ELKS; a sister, Mrs. Tom MANNING; and four 
brothers, Henry, Elijah, George and Louis ELKS, all of near Greenville.
