Ernest Williams Dead

Ernest WILLIAMS, 67, died Sunday afternoon at 3 o’clock at Tayloe Hospital in 
Washington of injuries received when struck by a car at Dudley’s Crossroads 
last Wednesday night. Funeral services will be held at the home Tuesday 
afternoon at 3 o’clock by Rev. J. B. ROBERTS, Primitive Baptist minister of 
Farmville. Burial will be in the Williams family cemetery near Cannon’s 
Crossroads. Mr. WILLIAMS was born in Pitt county and lived in the Cannon’s 
Crossroads community. He was a farmer. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Anne 
STOCKS WILLIAMS; two sons, Larry WILLIAMS of near Scuffleton and Lorie 
WILLIAMS of New York; three daughters, Mrs. Almeta SIMONS of Norfolk, Va., 
Mrs. Eldridge STYRON of Atlantic, N.C., and Mrs. DeWitt WATERS, Jr., of 
New York; two brothers, W. D. WILLIAMS and D. W. WILLIAMS of near Ayden; a 
sister, Mrs. John STOCKS, of Ayden; 15 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
