C. S. Smith Dies at Home

Daily Reflector, Fri., April 27, 1923

Mr. C. S. SMITH, aged 58 years, died at his home in Ayden yesterday afternoon 
after several days illness from pneumonia. The interment took place this 
afternoon in the Ayden cemetery. Mr. SMITH has been in this city since August 
1922, in the employ of Tucker and Clark and was held in the highest esteem by 
a host of friends. For several years, prior to coming to Greenville, he was 
chief of police of Ayden, a position which he held with credit and honor. He 
is survived by his wife and three sons.
