Alex Blow Died of Heart Attack

Alexander Lillington BLOW, Jr., 59, died at a local hospital Sunday night at 
11:30 following a heart attack. Funeral services will be conducted from the 
home, 405 Biltmore Street, Tuesday, at 3 p.m. by his pastor, the Rev. Roscoe 
C. HAUSER, Jr., Rector of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. Burial will be in the 
old Episcopal Churchyard. Mr. BLOW was the son of of the late Alexander 
Lillington BLOW and Alice MONTEIRO BLOW of Greenville. He was born, reared 
and spent his entire life in Greenville. He attended the city schools here 
and N. C. State College. Since leaving school, he had been engaged in the 
insurance and was well known. More recently he was associated with H. A. 
WHITE and Sons. On April 11, 1919, he was married to Miss Mabel GRIFFIN of 
Selma. Surviving this union is one daughter, Mrs. Walter C. HARGROVE, Jr. 
of Tarboro. Also surviving are five sisters, Mrs. N. S. FULFORD of Asheville, 
Mrs. W. H. DAIL of Greenville, Mrs. Lottie BUTNER of Washington, D.C., Mrs. 
L. N. WHITTED of Fayetteville, and Mrs. W. M. SCALES of Greenville.
